About the Author
James Beebe, retired professor of leadership studies at Gonzaga University and director of the Center for Rapid Qualitative Inquiry, is a social activist and an applied social scientist whose more than twenty years of experience includes service as a foreign service officer with USAID, researcher, and consultant in developing countries. He is currently a visiting researcher in the anthropology department at Portland State University.

Published in October 2014, RQI is the 2nd edition and significant upgrade of his previous first version (Rapid Assessment Process, 2001). Beebe’s expertise comes from many years working as a field anthropologist, worldwide, and as a recognized university teacher. Insightful, informative and important, this new edition brings anthropologists and other specialists engaged in field studies up to date on interdisciplinary team-based assessment. Don’t start your research without it!
